The Alfa Romeo Montreal owes its name to the Expo 67 world exhibition in Montreal, where the car was first presented to the public as a spectacular design study by Marcello Gandini. Interest was so great that Alfa Romeo decided to put the Montreal into production. Between 1970 and 1977, only around 3,917 units were produced – making the Montreal a true rarity to this day.
